Why We Created This Video
Since 1993, the You Matter team has traveled throughout the U.S. and around the world sharing a life-saving message with teens: You matter, and suicide is never the solution. Through decades of work and ongoing research, we continue to see a growing number of students struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts—often silently.
We created this Virtual Assembly because we believe schools are on the front lines of hope. While we can’t be everywhere in person, this assembly allows us to bring the same message of compassion, purpose, and resilience directly to your students. This resource is completely free and designed to be shared in assemblies or classrooms, with one simple goal: to reach students who may be hurting and remind them that their life matters—and that help is available.
Our hope is that every student walks away believing their life is worth fighting for.
